The Global Compact Network Hellas (Greece) was launched on 28 May 2008 during an event organized by the Hellenic Network for CSR (CSR Hellas) and the United Nations Development Programme Management Office in Athens. Its objectives are the promotion of the UN Global Compact and its principles in Greece, the support of business, academia and the organizations that are committed to it, the dissemination of the Ten Principles to the business world, the attraction of new members, the creation of opportunities for multi-stakeholder alliances and collective activities, and the advancement of the SDGs.
For the harmonious operation of the Global Compact Network Hellas (Greece), a five-member Secretariat has been established. It consists of two members of the Board of the Hellenic Network for CSR, its Manager and two other members who are elected every two years among the other participating members of the network.
