With the aim of advancing the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles in the Kenyan context, the Kenya network was launched in 2005 by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It was re-launched in 2007, this time in partnership with a trinity of leading private businesses consisting of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE) to allow for greater private sector participation. The secretariat was later moved from UNDP to be hosted at KAM offices.
Mission: Our mission is to spearhead and catalyse actions aimed at promoting good business practices by building capacity and awareness of ethics, integrity and Corporate Social Responsibility and engage with the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles.
