    I am pleased to confirm that 2030 Builders supports the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption.

    With this Communication on Progress, we express our intent to implement those principles. We are committed to making the UN Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company, and to engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals
    of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals. 2030 Builders will make a clear statement of this commitment to our stakeholders and the general public. We commit to share this information with all of our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • In all of our daily activities we make sure we respect the International Bill of Human Rights and the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: Implementing the United Nations ‘Protect, Respect and Remedy Framework’. Through our business and Human Rights conduit, we make sure that our stakeholders are aware of our Human rights policy and that they in turn respect and obey them. We strictly adhere to our Code of Conduct and we do not engage with stakeholders that do not comply.

  • 2030 Builders commits to recruitment processes that are free of bias and discrimination based on gender, race and/or disabilities. All of our employees go through training sessions and open workshops to educate and raise awareness in regards to Human Rights. Our set of Human Resource policies are clearly opposing any violation of the International Bill of Human Rights and the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights: Implementing the United Nations ‘Protect, Respect and Remedy Framework’. Moreover, an open-door HR policy is embodied in the values of 2030 Builders where we strive for an environment where employees feel safe and comfortable to discuss any mistreatment and issues.

  • This section is not applicable as 2030 Builders is a start-up. So far, there have been no incidents regarding Human Rights violations. Considering the small size of the company, thus far it is particularly hard to implement measurement systems for Human Rights performance.

Labour

  • At the core of 2030 Builders are our most valuable assets and capitals: our employees. 2030 Builders is not engaging in any form of forced, compulsory or child labour. Our employees are entitled to equal pay for equal value, opportunities and freedom for association. 2030 Builders is strictly adhering to the Employment and Labour law regulations of Denmark, as well as to ILO Core Convention standards, and is also a part of Dansk Erhverv Chamber of Commerce. Through our everyday work culture, practices and Code of conduct we promote gender equality, inclusion and avoid all forms of discrimination. We only work with stakeholders that are recognising and adhering to Global Compact Labour principles.

  • 2030 Builders tries to actively support women entrepreneurship, by tutoring, training and empowering women through recruitment and retention of women workers. Moreover, 2030 Builders is involved in different activities such as “Women in Tech”, “ Women Entrepreneur..... Additionally, we are proud to be one of the signatories of UN’s Women’s Empowerment Principles.

    Apart from adhering to Danish legislation and work culture, 2030 Builders has a 4-working week day policy, as we put great value on the wellbeing of our employees. 2030 Builders has a flexitime work policy, meaning that all employees are entitled and allowed to design their own working schedule through a program that emulates their personal preferences and puts them in charge of their own work pace. At 2030 Builders we cherish our employees and we prioritise their mental and physical well being, that is why we are very understanding of our employees needs and time off.

  • 2030 Builders hosts a great diversity in terms of nationalities, with employees from more than 7 countries such as: Poland, Latvia, Romania, US, UK, China and Denmark. We are actively contributing to closing the gender pay gap, that is why more than half of our employees are women. Our advisory board is equally represented with a ratio of 3:3 women to man. This is also reflected in the composition of the founding team that consists of two women (CEO and CRO) and one man (CTO).

    2030 Builders has set up in place an employee well-being anonymous form, that each employee has to fill in once a month. In this way we are keeping track of any changes in the welfare of our employees. The anonymity of the form allows employees to open up and freely express their concerns and feelings.

Environment

  • As a business, we believe we are accountable for the future and have an imperative role to play in addressing global climate change. Therefore at 2030 Builders, we are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact, working closely with other companies to educate and thus reduce their impact to allow for a more significant difference. Through our active learning centered around sustainability, we engage others into making more environmentally sound decisions.

  • At 2030 Builders we practice what we preach, striving to reduce our carbon emissions, monitoring emails sent, using green servers and encouraging working from home. 2030 Builders website is running on sustainable energy and each month we aim to send less than 1000 emails monthly, by limiting "thank you" and numerous unnecessary follow up emails, therefore reducing 4kg CO2 from our emails monthly. We encourage employees to work from home 2 days out of a 4 day working week, saving us carbon emissions from commuting which can be estimated to be around 13.463 kg of CO2e per year for our whole office. During work there is no meat consumption, therefore contributing to our aim of lowering emissions associated with unsustainable diets. Moreover, office building is running entirely on renewable energy sources. The office furniture is repurposed and refurbished.

  • This section is not applicable as 2030 Builders is a new digital web application start-up. So far, there have been no incidents regarding environmental protection. Considering the small size of the company thus far it is particularly hard to implement measurement systems for environmental monitoring and performance.

Anti-Corruption

  • 2030 Builders Code of Conduct and Core Values are based upon the Anti-corruption regulations of Denmark, to ensure the company is running business with the highest possible ethical standards. At 2030 Builders, we commit to the prevention and deterrence of fraud, bribery and other corrupt practices. The Danish Anti-corruption regulations apply to all levels of employees and others associated with the company.

  • All business activities conducted by 2030 Builders are to be undertaken with the highest levels of integrity and honesty, never engaging in bribery or corruption.
    In accordance with the Danish Anti-Corruption Policy, 2030 Builders prohibits bribery, fraud, breach of trust and money laundering. We strive to always assess the risk of corruption when doing business and ensure all internal actions and procedures support 2030 Builders anti-corruption commitments.

  • This section is not applicable as 2030 Builders is a new software start-up. So far, there have been no incidents regarding corruption and bribery. Considering the small size of the company thus far it is particularly hard to implement measurement systems in this regard.

    However, at 2030 Builders we undertake a negative screening and we refuse to work with stakeholders or clients who have been involved in bribery, corruption and/or fraudulent behavior.
