    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Stafa reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • Besides the implementations we've done in the past we started to build up a Works Council with representatives from our employees. They will, together with the board of directors the outlines for various topics regarding the so called Collective labour agreement and policies.

  • We have set-up several new Human resource policies and regulations regarding:
    Respect, Unwanted manners, discrimination, communication, sexist remarks, violence, alcohol, drugs and smoking.

Environment

  • - We have implementaed a in-house emergency Team (BHV). A team of 6 employees have been training to take up this task. In case of any emergency of accident they will attent and give first aid of provide other services.
    - We have set up a company safety team. A team of 7 employees are looking after the general safety issues of our warehouse and offices. For example, subjects that are treated are. Fire safety, use of machines, tools, equipment and installations. clear work instructions, the correct use of resources and regular maintenance and testing. escape routes, fire extinguishers, safety in the workplace. lighting, fall protection, evacuation plan, safety warehouse, storage of hazardous substances.
    - We have updated our REACH and ROHS statements with the current developments.
    - We have implemented a conflict minerals statement

  • Training of team members, Awareness and communication in the entire organization.
    Set-up a communication plan towards stakeholders regarding ROHS, REACH, conflict minerals. Key-suppliers are asked to sign our COC and REACH and ROHS requirement and declarations.

    Safety team: We've implemented monthly meetings and monthly safety rounds with list with actions (preventive and corrective).
