  • Statement of continued support by the Chief Executive Officer
  • Statement of the company's chief executive (CEO or equivalent) expressing continued support for the Global Compact and renewing the company's ongoing commitment to the initiative and its principles.

  • One year ago we, the Swedish HR-consultancy group Wise Group, vouched to support the ten principles of the Global Compact, with respect to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

Our commitment to advance these principles within our sphere of influence stands firm. We have, during 2018, included the principles in the strategies of our seven subsidiaries. We have also made a statement to our stakeholders to announce our support for the Global Compact and our intent of furthering its principles.

Due to Wise Group’s complex business model and our ambition to ensure the quality of implementation and compliance with principles of Global Compact on both group and subsidiary levels, we have unfortunately fallen short in terms of implementation of practical actions and measurement of outcomes. Our ambition is to re-start our work during 2019 & 2020 in conjunction with Wise Group producing its 3rd annual sustainability report due in the spring of 2020 (since 2017-18 annual sustainability reporting is a regulatory requirement according to the Swedish Companies act).

We ask You to accept this expression of continued support and grant Wise Group a 12-month “Learner” grace period to submit a new COP that meets all requirements, starting with updating of our corporate policies within the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

    Sincerely Yours,

    Mrs. Ingrid Höög
    CEO, Wise Group (Publ)
