    I am pleased to confirm that SOLICAZ reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

    All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
    Company policy : In order to participate to the mitigation of illegal mining (in Guyane) collateral damages (human trafficking, environment heavy degradation, corruption, etc..), the company requires that its clients (mining companies) do not have any links with non monitored mining operations as well as farmers who look for SOLICAZ expertise are asked to not employ illegal immigrants.

    Also, to raise the awareness of its employees and suppliers and clients, and all other stakeholders, on Human Rights , SOLICAZ cooperates with the ministry of justice authorities to employ convicts They work a few days a month in the plant nursery under the company management among the regular employees.

  • Guyane is a French administrative district where any individual and identities must abide to the national and EU laws which sanction any type of Human Rights (discrimination, child labour, etc..), however the district is under pressure from illegal immigration from neighbors or close countries such as Brazil, Suriname, Guyana and Haiti. The policy of the company is to respect the laws and require its stakeholders to do the same. To participate to the effort to reducing immigration, i.e. human trafficking SOLICAZ is part of an Inter-regional economic programme with the neighbors country and particularly Suriname to offer jobs and income opportunities in their own country.

    The objective of the company is to convince its clients (and suppliers) to abide to the Global Compact to operating responsibly and make a positive impact.

  • SOLICAZ promotes the rehabilitation and revegetalizion of highly disturbed lands with selected plants to be user further as biomass.
