    To all our Stakeholders

    I am pleased to confirm that Quintas Renewable Energy Solutions Ltd., reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nation Global Compact in the area of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption.

    In this annual Communication of Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders, using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • In line with our declared support for Universal Human Right declaration, our company has a code of conduct for staff and stakeholders to comply with Universal declaration of human right and other international standards.

    We would strictly adhere to right of man to freedom expression of what the desire, ensure that safe and conducive environment are provided in their place of work. There will be no forced or child labour

  • We have a staff right and welfare committee in our company to handle:
    a. Human Rights
    • To ensure that our workers are provided with safe, conducive and suitable working environment, are sanitation processes are good and modern and the facilities to promote good and danger free working environment are provided.
    • Ensure that are workers are protected from physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats.
    • Confirm that activities are provided to protect our staff from threats and harmful procedures that could impair health or cause injuries, bodily harms or loss of human life during manufacturing of goods, disposal of wastes or normal discharge of their duties.

  • A senior male member of staff physically assaulted a female junior staff. He was investigated and found to attempting to take undue advantage of the lady. We was asked to withdraw his service from our ourganization

Labour

    • It is our company's policy not to be involved in any act of forced or child labour, we comply with the minimum labour wage as prescribed by the Nigerian laws and adequate remuneration are given to workers when the work outside their normal hours of duties or when they have cause to work outside their area of primary assignments.
    • Our employment policies do not discriminate against race, gender, physically challenged or non-communicable health conditions.
    • Health care supports are given to all staff and their immediate families

Environment

  • • Our business is generation of energy from wastes that ordinarily would have been a pollutant to the environment. We gasify or generate efficient combustion from solid combustible organic materials (Biomass), do anaerobic bio-digestion of liquid biomass and prevent post-harvest wastage of food. Our activities displaces usage of fossil fuel to reduce generation of greenhouse gases.
    • We produce organic fertilizer from biodegradable material to protect the soil and environment

  • • 75% of our activities deal with peasant farmer,s which does not give room for corrupt practices. We ensure that our staff do no use adulterated measuring equipment to cheat customers.
    • We have minimal contacts with Government officials that award contracts to minimize the temptation to offer bribes to secure contracts.
