  • Nexen produces an annual Sustainability Report which highlights our safety, environment and social responsibility performance. Our 2003
    report, Making the Link, demonstrates how the way we do business links us to a sustainable future.

    Nexen''s report:
    -- notes that the Global Compact guides our public reporting (page 7);
    -- references our participation in the June 2004 Leaders Summit in June 2004 (page 32);
    -- provides details on our important water supply/sanitation project in Yemen, the first Global Compact project in the Arab world (page 15)

    The report also contains a description of action taken to implement the Global Compact in the following sections:
    -- Human Rights Protection, pages 31 and 32;
    -- Labour Practices on pages 28 and 29;
    -- Environmental Protection pages 14 through 22;
