Description
  • Actions:
Lindex communicates on Corporate Social Responsibility through AB Lindex Annual Report and website. Communication to suppliers is made mainly through our Instruction for Suppliers and in our daily communication and work. Internal communication is held through our Intranet, our internal magazine for employees and through meetings and handbooks. For internal follow-up, we have established a CSR Management Group which meets every six months.

Lindex environmental work is integrated in the organization through our nine environmental coordinators and should be a part of our daily work. The environmental policy is our vision and Lindex sets environmental targets every second year for the areas where we have our main environmental impact: textile, transports, energy, waste and packaging. Results of our targets are communicated through “Environmental Facts and figures” on our website.

Lindex Code of Conduct is integrated in the organization through the daily work of Code of Conduct coordinators together with Lindex employed Code of Conduct auditors and other office staff present at Lindex Production offices around the world. Twice a year Lindex Code of Conduct coordinators and auditors have a weekly conference where strategic goals and targets for the next 6 months on going code of conduct work are set, and follow up of the previous six months targets are made.

Lindex has had a Code of Conduct for our suppliers for several years. It began with Lindex own Code of Conduct and since 2004 Lindex is a member of BSCI Business Social Compliance Initiative. Lindex has actively participated in the co modification of the BSCI code of conduct system a common European monitoring system for social compliance (www.bsci-eu.org).
Together with our suppliers Code of Conduct coordinators and Code of Conduct auditors are working to create a good working environment and solve any problems. We are convinced that the only way to generate change is step-by-step and by combining information and training with clear demands and checks that agreed upon measures are implemented. This is ensured through our close contact with our suppliers. Through Lindex daily Code of Conduct work we aim to fulfill our commitments to the United Nations Global Compact principles.
