Societe Generale published its Communication on Progress in its Sustainability Report 2003, which is available on the company''s website at http://www.ir.socgen.com/english/download_a/Societe-Generale_2003-Annual-Report_full.pdf.

The report was prepared following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guidelines 2002. It contains a statement of continued support for the Global Compact, as well as a dedicated Global Compact page "Our Commitment" (page 64 of the report) with a summary of actions taken, to implement the Global Compact principles. The report also contains a GRI Index Table (page 242) that contains an additional column describing how Global Compact principles relate to GRI indicators.
