  • PSA Peugeot Citroen communicates with stakeholders on sustainability and implementation of the UN Global Compact?s principles through its 2004 Report (PSA Peugeot Citroen en Bref), sustainable development website, Fuel Cells Document and 2002 Annual Report (see Management Board Report section starting at page 8).

    Page 14 of the 2004 Report describes the Group?s commitment to Environment and Society, addressing issues such as controlling the green house effect and making a commitment to surrounding communities). Under the ?Men and Women? section, the report describes the Group?s Active Training Policy and Recruitment Policy, as well as other human resources activities (see page 16).

    PSA Peugeot Citroen Sustainable Development website describes the company?s strategy to meet its economic, social and environmental responsibilities. The website also provides detailed information on the Company?s economic, social and environmental performance. Reporting on sustainable development is done according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines and a GRI Index is provided on the website.

    The Group?s Corporate Citizenship is also addressed in the 2002 Report (see page 80). The report highlights the Group?s Safety management and its Environmental Stewardship (dedication to Abate CO2 Emission, improve Air Quality and promote Biofuels. The Group?s Human Resources policy is mentioned in the report on page 62.

    In the PSA Peugeot Citroen and Fuel Cells document, the Group describes the fuel cells as a key to protecting the environment.

    PSA Peugeot Citroen is a member in a number of French organizations that promote environmental stewardship and mutually responsible development, including Comite 21 (Comite 21 integrates sustainable development into managerial practices), Entreprise Pour l?Environement (EPE develops efficient environmental stewardship processes engaging companies and promoting their capabilities in this area) and the Institut du Mecenat de Solidarite (IMS supports companies in implementing their social responsibility strategies).
