Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • The declaration of the Human Rights is fully respected and supported by Emco Marine policies, concerning: Health, Safety, Grievance, Flexible hours (when needed), Harassment at work.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • The employees are provided with rights concerning condition of labor, rest, labor payment, daily transfer fees, deduction to the pension funds and etc....

  • * Emco Marine's management is constantly monitoring to ensure that all aspects of the Human Rights are upheld daily.
    * The outcome is zero complaints from emplyoees, customers or suppliers about violation of any Human Right.

Labour

    * In our group - Jewish, Christians and Moslems are working together with no discrimination

Environment

  • * Our group is commited to ensure that its employees, in all our departments, have environmental responsibility awareness.

  • * Efforts are put in pollution control, managing the resources and reducing the carbon footprints.
    * Everyone in the company is instructed to print less.
    * Emco Marine convinced local authoritie to implement the policy of using vouchers, for container movements, with less copies.
    * We use computerized transmission for containers leaving our depots towards the ports
    * On top of our daily efforts, Emco Marine has a nominated department specialized in handling and elliminating Marine Pollutions

  • * Our actions are measured through setting of objectives, procedures, training, monitoring and communication systems.
    * All these factors are taken into consideration during the internal monitoring and audits.

Anti-Corruption

  • * Everyone everywhere should work against all forms of corruption, including bribery and extortion.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • * It is well known, within our group, that the management have a zero tolerance policy againt all forms of business corruption
    * Any type of corruption proved on any employee shall result in immediate and direct actions against it.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • * All employees know to address the Deputy Managing Director and the Human Resource department, in case of any complaint or for reporting of any kind of corruption.
    * Each case will be thouroughly reviewd and discussed and actions will be taken to avoid such in the future.
