    To our stakeholders,

    I am pleased to confirm that Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operation. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights

    • Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur adheres to the universal declaration of human rights. Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur believes that when people are treated well, production and quality will benefit and business will thrive.
    • Also, Oh! by Kopenhagen Furs declared core values include respect, involvement, openness, and the cooperative movement’s belief that humans are strengthened through collaboration. These values underscore the company’s devotion to the human rights principles.

    • Our parent company Kopenhagen Fur has a full set of policies regarding Human Rights policies. These include e.g. policies regarding stress, pregnancy, illness, consistent repeated work, health etc. At Oh! By Kopenhagen Fur we offer employees benefits which go beyond cases go beyond minimum law requirements, e.g. giving employees 5 additional holidays per year once they have been employed for 9 months.
    • Adressing our suppliers, our Supplier Manual describes a Code of Conduct containing Oh! Etc.’s policies and guidelines for human rights.

    • We are not aware of any human rights issues eiher within the company our amongst our suppliers.

Labour

    • As a Danish company, Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur is governed by Danish working environment legislation, which aims is to ensure a healthy and safe environment where the company is responsible for solving the safety and health issues which may arise.
    • Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur has the fundamental view that work life should be a rewarding and developing part of the entire life cycle.

    • Working environment concerns all employees in Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur. In daily life, it is the individual employee’s and manager’s responsibility to ensure a good working environment.
    Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur has just started up a working environment organization with representatives from management and employees. The function of the working environment committee is to plan and coordinate the working environment for safety and health.
    • Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur has 2 employee representatives in the working environment organization.
    • All employees enjoy the right to free assembly and association.
    • All employees has the possiblity to attend relevant courses and seminars which are relevant to their area of work.

    • Every other year a working environment assesment is carried out with the participation of all employees. The first assessment was completed in 2016, with very satisfactory results. The second assesment is under preparation and will be carried out in the spring of 2017.

Environment

    • As a subsidiary of Kopenhagen Fur we adhere to the values of our parent company, which are to continuously to work to implement protection of the environment in our daily business practices at a cooperate level and to reduce our external environmental impact. This includes ensuring sustainable and economically sound operations of Kopenhagen Fur buildings and processes within electricity, water, heating, and cooling, in order to ensure that Kopenhagen Fur and Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur is an environmentally and resource-conscious business.

    • Oh! by Kopenhagen fur also aims to inspire, help and nudge our partners to become aware of environmentally friendly alternatives within their respective fields.

    • Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur work only with suppliers who honor and respect all EU regulations concerning tanning and dyeing of leather and fur.

    • Furthermore Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur have informed our suppliers that the policy of Oh! Kopenhagen Fur in the near future will be to not accept any sort of chromium (including Chromium III) in our fur or leather products. This is a part of our continuing effort to protect the environment and avoid any potential health hazards. It is also in line with our focus on animal welfare and the overall values of the fur business.

    • In order to reduce CO2 release we have chosen to transport most of our products from China by sea rather than by air.

    • Our mother company has the last few years been the main factor in exploring the use of metal free (Chrome) tanning of fur skins. Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur is now ready to implant this method for tanning and dyeing. It is our goal in 2017-2018 to totally phase out the use of chrome in tanning and dyeing of fur.

Anti-Corruption

    • Oh! by Kopenhagen Fur has a restrictive gift acceptance policy, which applies to all employees.
    • Oh! By Kopenhagen Fur has exact procedures for new customers and makes a great effort in knowing all suppliers and customers to the company (KYC). Financial transactions to byer and supplier is only made with an underlying trade with our products and products related to our business.

    • Our policy for anti-corruption is described in detail in our Supplier Manual. This implies that the supplier and subconstractors must strive towards a business where corruption is eliminated – hence no bribery, improper gifts or the like can be offered nor accepted.
