    I am pleased to confirm that Oceanic Group Pte Ltd reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication in Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our shareholders using our primary channel of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • 1.1 Push for Respect of Human Rights
    - We will respect all international standards of conduct with regards to human rights. We do not get in any conduct that obstructs with human rights

    1.2 Eliminating Discrimination
    We will respect all employees and everybody during treatment of employees and during transactions and all other company functions/activities.

    We have set up Oceanic Code of Conduct and HR policies to state our position clear to all suppliers, employees and other working partners. It includes human rights, labour, environmental requirements while complying with provisions in the other international conventions such as ILO Conventions

  • We have our Oceanic code and HR policies in the office so that all employees will be able to see Oceanic code of conduct at all times.

    At request, we will also give out Oceanic code of conduct to working partners and suppliers

  • Yearly review of HR policies and yearly report to the senior management to see if changes and review to HR policies are required.

Labour

  • 1.1 Eliminating Discrimination
    Oceanic will respect every individual's personality and character and all employees during company activities, transactions. Oceanic will not engage in any actions that hinder dignity and will not discriminate anybody base on gender, nationality, age, race and etc.

Environment

  • Oceanic aims to reduce emissions through improvements in vessel fuel consumption and working with maritime organization for ways to achieve fuel efficiency and reduction in emission

    Adopting a safe, practical strategy to reduce the risks associated with ballast waste management and fulfilling environmental responsibilities

  • Training/ Re-training and awareness of crew members on a periodic basis on the environmental protection

Anti-Corruption
