    To our stakeholders:

I am pleased to confirm that Superbet Zakłady Bukmacherskie (Superbet) supports the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. We strive every day to ensure the principles are part of our company DNA and Polish as well as global team spirit, expressed not only in values but through our actions.

With this communication, we express our commitment and intent to continue implementing those principles. We are committed to making the UN Global Compact and its principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company, and to engage in collaborative projects which advance the broader development goals of the United Nations, particularly the Sustainable Development Goals.

We will continue to make a clear statement of this commitment to our stakeholders and the general public via our efforts, actions and reported results, aiming to promote good practices and enrich our socially responsible company culture.

We recognize that a key requirement for continued participation in the UN Global Compact is the annual submission of a Communication on Progress (COP) that describes our company’s efforts to implement the Ten Principles. We support public accountability and transparency, and therefore commit to report on progress annually according to the UN Global Compact COP policy. This includes:

    Sincerely yours,

    Adam Lamentowicz

  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Superbet is very much focused on Human Rights, Inclusion and Diversity – This topic has taken a completely different space and attention to the entire organization as a result of Russian invasion on Ukraine and humanitarian crisis which we face daily close to Polish and Romanian borders – as two countries in which Superbet is significant market player, are neighbouring countries to our Ukrainian fellow citizens.

As external engagement Superbet in Romania and in Poland has mobilized its work force immediately upon start of the military conflict in Ukraine. Significant amounts of funds were donated via Superbet Foundation to NGO’s in Ukraine, Romania and Poland such as Red Cross or Humanitarian Aid in value of over 250K EUR in purely financial aid. Simultaneously our workforce in both countries was provided with our company assistance and support to engage in social fund raising and coordination of various aid activities – providing shelters, gathering clothes and goods or distributing mobile phones with Polish or Romanian sim cards to Ukrainian refugees (mainly women and children) fleeing Ukraine to Romania and Poland.

  • Implementation

  • Polish team of Superbet has organized among themselves shelters for families, shared time and take responsibility for ensuring mobility of numerous families or people in need arriving to Polish bus and train stations and needed temporary homes. Same is valid for many of our Romanian colleagues where numerous retail locations (approx.. 1000) in Romania and all of our 80 shops in Poland were places of drop off and pick up of donated goods for Ukrainian nationals in need.

Now that refugee fleeing topic is under manageable control of authorities, our employees and team members continue to support various initiatives – mainly directed to support Ukrainian NGOs and charity foundations, which then coordinate locally in Ukraine, help where it is most needed.

We also look at Human Rights within Superbet and to our own team members. For its workforce Superbet ensures safe, suitable and sanitary work facilities. Regular audit in place with ongoing improvement action plan implemented. No accidents at work have been recorded in last 12 months. To ensure safe work conditions in COVID peak seasons home office was recommended. Vaccinations were promoted with special bonus for each person who decided to undergo full vaccination with 90+ % success rate including Romania and Poland.

Suberbet currently works on online Ethicontrol platform implementation, in line with EU directive, to ensure all workers have immediate and easy access to whistleblowing process in case of any workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats. Also, for all jurisdictions – Poland included - Whistleblowing/ABC Officers have been appointed.

Polish branch proudly supports WOŚP (biggest charity donation drive in Poland). This year Superbet donated nearly PLN 120,000 through charity auctions organized jointly with company ambassadors. Superbet and Superbet Foundation also supports medical staff in Romania as part of the activity an ambulance was purchased by Superbet Foundation and granted in municipality of high need.

Humanitarian aid and respect for each other – inside and outside of our organization - are our prime principles and we trust that such activities as mentioned above not only support the world to become better place but allow our work colleagues and team members to become better united.

Our offices are environmentally friendly (led lights, segregated trash, automatically switching off light when no movement in the corridors) while retail locations as prerequisite need to be located in environmentally aware and conscious locations to avoid unnecessary waste of energy.

We limit air travel only to necessary minimum to avoid escalation of fossil fuels emissions and encourage people within our organizations to use trains and public transport within the cities or while commute within the country, and refrain from using cars for inter-city travel whenever possible.

Superbet Zaklady Sportowe has also minimized car flee to absolute minimum, with dedicated corporate fleet to be devoted only to staff that needs it for their work duties in the field.
