    I am pleased to confirm that Alpha CRC Ltd. reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Alpha CRC explicitly supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As part of our company's Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we have formulated several policies that address Human Rights aspects, including gender equality and disabilities.

  • As part of our commitment to ensure that human rights are being respected throughout our supply chain, we have decided to include a requirement for our suppliers to adhere to the Global Compact principles on Human Rights, effective as of 1 October 2022.

  • Alpha CRC keeps track of all complaints related to human rights. In the reporting period, no complaint has been filed in this category.

Labour

  • Alpha CRC has put in writing several policies to underline the importance of labour rights, including:
    - Health and Safety at work
    - Equality and Diversity
    - Sexual Harassment
    - Bullying

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • After reviewing how we make decisions about pay and any gender or race bias in the previous year, we have moved on to expand the pool of managers providing their input on such decisions.

    We have continued to provide additional health measures in the office by maintaining regular Covid tests to minimize the risk of infection amongst our staff.

  • Alpha's management board reviews periodically performance in the area of employment.

    We also track employment by gender, nationality and age.

Environment

  • Alpha is a pure service business. Our environmental policy emphasizes the reduction of energy and paper waste and favours energy efficient suppliers. We recognize that climate change is a global challenge and we have a responsibility undertake actions to fight against it.

    Over the next year, we will continue to train our staff to reduce their use of paper and energy and include the requirements for suppliers to adhere to the Global Compact environmental principles.

  • In the course of the past year, we have replaced all conventional light fixtures in our main office with energy efficient LED lighting.

    We also have reduced the use of paper throughout our offices.

    We are now in the process of introducing a hybrid model of working in the office and from home which will reduce the consumption of fossil fuels by reducing the number of commuter trips in cars.

Anti-Corruption

  • Alpha maintains a written anti corruption and bribery policy which is shared with all staff.

  • Implementation

  • Our standard contract now contains an anti-corruption clause.
    We have expanded the reach of our anti-corruption training to employees of recently acquired companies.
    We aim at including all business partners and suppliers to adhere to Global Compact anti-corruption principles over the next reporting period.

  • The management board systematically reviews all contracts to ensure that anti-corruption clauses are included and principles upheld when entering any agreement with clients worldwide.
