    I am pleased to confirm that ANTONE Displays Limited reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • ANTONE has issued a detailed Employees Handbook which states clearly the company policies regarding Health and Safety, Employee Welfare and the procedures in place to ensure all employees are protected from Harassment or discrimination.

  • All ANTONE Policies and Procedures are communicated and monitored by Management.

  • The company employs the services of a Health and Safety Consultant and has also been audited by an independent agency appointed by one of our key customers, QIMA, regarding health and safety / welfare standards. This provides independent assessment to ensure that the company is adopting the highest standards in terms of maintaining the health and wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and business contacts.

Labour

  • We have strict polices communicated to all employees regarding recruitment and employment. This is reinforced via Employee Contracts, Job Descriptions and the company Handbook. Wage standards, and labour conditions have been independently audited.

  • We are a small company so are able to monitor labour policies ourselves in addition to professional advisors, customer audits and daily management.

  • We monitor performance continually via finance department statistics, regular management meetings, employee representative meetings and individual performance and pay reviews. We check all employees 'Right to Work by checking their passports and other documentation and ensuring no age or permit violations take place.
    ANTONE is an ethnically diverse and mixed gender business with 15% of employees over the age of 50 when first employed. The ratio of female to male employees is 17% Female / 83% Male.

Environment

  • We operate with a strategy that believes environmental impact will be the defining factor determining the success of businesses in the future. To this end we are working closely with out employees, our suppliers, our customers and professional advisors to improve our carbon footprint and environmental impact. We have made great strides in recent years although acknowledge that there remains much more we can do to enhance our operations and impact our industry which has been historically wasteful in all areas.

  • Antone has an ongoing Corporate Responsibility Strategy which includes assessment of all potential polluting substances, both water and airborne. Waste strategy is reviewed with specialist waste businesses and assessed to ensure that 90%+ of carried waste is recycled.
    Hazardous waste is handled in line with COSHH assessments and disposed of via a specialist carrier.

  • ANTONE has measured its carbon footprint to act as a benchmark for future environmental initiatives. We have also participated in a National carbon footprint measuring exercise with a major pharmaceutical retailer where ANTONE fixtures were assessed for environmental impact.
    All wood products are procured from renewable resources and we have pioneered the use of renewable acrylic for part of key projects for an international Health and Beauty brand.

Anti-Corruption

  • Corruption and Bribery is of limited relevance or an issue for a business such as ANTONE although we do adhere to an Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy that is within detailed within our company handbook.

  • ANTONE has communicated to its employees a zero tolerance policy to Bribery and Corruption. This policy is communicated to all personnel via company Handbook and is policed via our management structure and auditors.
