  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • The implementation of internal and external ethical or whistleblowing channels and their correct implementation are an excellent tool to generate responses to risks in situation of violations or potential situations that may put certain human rights at risk.

Training for the proper attention of complaints is essential, so it is planned to move forward in this regard, as well as to provide higher levels of confidentiality, both of the complainant and the content of the complaint.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Due to About It has recently started its operations, the complaints channel is endeed operational, however its use is still low, nevertheless, incidents related to this matter, have not been reported.

The benefits of the whistleblower channel must be given greater diffusion and confidence in the people who use it.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • The monitoring is conducted by the number of clients who decide to accept our Terms and Conditions and our Code of Ethics and Conduct in order to work with us. Other measurement indicators that can be added are: demographic indicators, investigations, incidents, audits, etc.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • About It is aware of the environmental impact of human activity on natural resources and the environment and that is why it is not only a policy but also a responsibility and commitment of the company, taking care of our activities to avoid these traces as much as possible. We have express policies where we approach our concern about the damage suffered by our planet, but we also have as a goal for next year to advance a new packaging system with recycled material. We encourage our stakeholders to join initiatives for the care and preservation of the environment.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Regarding specific actions conducted by our Leaks and Actions division, we can point out that we were trained in ISO 14001 standards. This is an international standard of environmental management that raises awareness among companies and allows them to demonstrate the commitment assumed with the protection of the environment through the management of environmental risks associated with the activity carried out. The standard is part of the courses we teach on compliance and ethical and organizational culture, so for About It it is essential to include ISO 14001, in the curricular mesh of the courses taught by the signs expressed by our planet and that requires the everyone's work and effort. At About It we understand that when companies demonstrate their commitment to protecting the environment through the management of environmental risks associated with the activity carried out. By assuming environmental responsibility, in addition to reducing the environmental impact from its activity, the commercially sustainable image of the company is projected and reinforced.

However, we noticed with deep concern little interest from educational institutions and the private sector to get involved in training processes linked to a broader perspective of compliance, considering it is not relevant or not a priority to invest on, it supposes taking away real training possibilities for employees and stakeholders. Management involvement is essential.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • The measurement indicators are being developed to be able to count on them by 2022 and to be able to report progress in figures based on the number of courses taught in this area specifically.

In addition, About It is collaborating with institutions in Paraguay linked to caring for the environment in measuring risks of compliance with environmental regulations, these diagnoses will also serve to measure progress, establish measurements, status of the situation at the country level and periodic reviews .

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • This is the main work topic and where About It's efforts have been concentrated through its Leaks and Actions division. In the fight against corruption, we have publicly expressed our commitment from management, our zero tolerance for it. We have adopted a complaints channel and have published it. We are developing our Integrity Program and we also offer this service for both the public and private sectors. Our company is committed to doing what no one has done in Paraguay until now, promoting compliance, a practice that dates back to the 1970s and has emerged in the United States. In fact, the new ISO 37301/2021 standard was adapted so its implementation allows the enforcement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), something that the majority is unaware of in Paraguay. For this reason, we suggest for next year to promote greater knowledge of what "COMPLIANCE" really promotes and link it to enhance Compliance with the commitments stipulated by 2030 Agenda.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • In the implementation of integrity programs and compliance instruments, we see institutions that little believe in a true culture based on ethical values and integrity, however, reality shows that it is the behaviors that have finally turned out to be the true containment of corrupt practices and not sanctioning or punitive measures. Therefore, we firmly believe that Paraguay can get out of the scheme in which it finds itself and can and must do so for the generations that today await a response from us. The countries that have advanced have shown us the way forward, we have a certain advantage in that. Technologies and the use of AI can facilitate this process, but for this we need people of honor, ethics and integrity. Therefore, initiating awareness-raising and training processes is not a cost, it is an investment for the near future and for access to highly regulated markets that simply no longer accept, a "moderately regulated" country or with "gaps" in its legislation " Regional legislative harmonization in this regard is crucial and urgent.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • About It's greatest achievement is having brought to Paraguay the largest spanish-speaking global compliance network, the World Compliance Association. From there, we guide with strength, dedication and care all actions related to promoting ethics, transparency and the culture of compliance in our country. As "Paraguayan women" we are proud to have obtained this achievement. "We are in the midst of implementing incentive tools of all kinds, such as dissemination, research, academic materials, collaboration agreements, certification processes for both people and of institutions, and we want to be an articulating space with different instances of both the private and the public sectors, understanding that corruption is everyone's problem.
