    I am pleased to confirm that Eton International reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • As a small company, we ensure that our worker's human rights are respected and upheld to a high standard.

  • Implementation

  • - Eton International ensures workers are provided safe, suitable and sanitary work facilities that are regularly cleaned and maintained
    - Eton International protects workers against any workplace harassment of all kinds
    - Eton International ensures that workers are given reasonable breaks and rest periods, as well as ensuring that overtime is frequent and limited
    - Eton International provides a wage to all workers that enable employees to meet their needs and their dependents
    - Eton International ensures that workers are paid holiday leave, sick leave, compassionate leave and parental leave in accordance with national standards
    - Eton International ensures that all workers have official employment status
    - Eton International respects the privacy of its workers whenever private information is required for example in the case of taxation or insurance

  • We regularly review what the company is doing for its workers and seek any areas where we can improve. We also welcome employee feedback on this matter.

Labour

  • We regularly review what the company is doing for its workers and seek any areas where we can improve. We also encourage workers to raise any issues they may have with the CEO.

Environment

  • As a small company whose workers often work remotely our impact on the environment is somewhat small, however we strive to improve our energy efficiency and minimise any impact we have on the environment.

  • - Eton International supports an active approach to minimising its environmental impact for example no plastic water bottles in the office and providing water filters, significantly reducing any unnecessary printing and paper usage
    - Eton International recycles waste where possible
    - Eton International commits to continually assessing areas it can strive to improve to minimise its impact upon the environment
    - Eton International replaced all office lights with LED lights in order to significantly reduce the energy consumption of our office and later replaced all lights in the building outside of the office which was the first building of Emaar’s to use LED lights. This influenced the rapid installation of LED lights in other buildings owned by Emaar.

  • We continually seek to improve our workplace and systems so that they have a minimal impact on the environment and welcome workers suggestions as to what they believe we could be doing differently in this regard.

Anti-Corruption

  • As a small company with a zero-tolerance policy, we would ensure any potential risks are raised with the CEO and dealt with appropriately.

  • We would ensure that any potential risks are raised with the CEO and dealt with if these issues ever arose.
