    To our stakeholders,

I am pleased to confirm that Business for Development (B4D) reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption. B4D is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) Code of Conduct. The Code aims to improve international development and humanitarian action outcomes and increase stakeholder trust by enhancing the transparency, accountability and effectiveness of ACFID's members. In conjunction with other aspects of ACFID’s work, the effective delivery of the Code contributes to the realisation of human rights and the delivery of the Sustainable Development Goals.

B4D’s Board and Audit and Risk Committees sign off all policies. All staff trained in our policies and must comply, and clients and suppliers must also comply with our policies.

In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

    Sincerely yours,
    Karen James
    CEO
