    I am pleased to confirm that Altis Consulting reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Altis Consulting upholds the the 4 principles of Labour SDGs.

    We endorse the principles contained in the United Nations’ (“UN”) Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in the International Labour Organization’s (“ILO”) core conventions on labour standards. We are committed to respecting human rights and core labour principles in our business operations, and we approach and undertake this commitment seriously.
    This includes:
    • ensuring supply of goods and consulting services under safe and healthy conditions in line with international labour standards (or local standards, if higher)
    • ensuring employees are legally authorised to work, are above the minimum labour age (child labour is strictly prohibited), are voluntarily employed, are paid a wage reflecting hours worked and adequate pay rates and allowed leave at or above the legal minimum, and are not exploited

    We do not tolerate any type of forced or compulsory labour, human trafficking, or slavery within our supply chain or operations. We are committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in all our corporate activities.

    We also have a Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy that states our commitment to developing a workplace culture which embraces workforce
    equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI). This policy outlines the EDI parameters designed to create a workplace culture and environment which is respectful, free
    from any form of discrimination, harassment, bullying and where diversity is valued.

    We are rolling out a Supplier self assessment questionnaire to check and inform our suppliers of our Modern Slavery Commitment and to check in on cases of Modern Slavery in their businesses and within their supply chains.

    We have a complaint system in place for any any issues around Modern Slavery concerns internally or externally. We also have a system in place for issues around Equity, Diversity & Inclusion.

    Altis also actively encourages gender diversity by participation in the DevelopHer Program.

    Our Complaints Handling Procedure Doc.
    The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that complaints and/or reports by
    employees concerning serious workplace matters are dealt with in a timely and
    appropriate manner with due regard to fair process for all involved.
    This procedure applies to complaints and/or reports concerning:
     Workplace bullying;
     Discrimination and harassment; and
     Sexual harassment.
    Altis will endeavour to ensure that employees who report or make complaints
    concerning the above matters or those who are involved in the resolution of the issues
    are not subject to reprisals or victimisation.

Environment

  • Altis Consulting believes that it is the responsibility of every organisation and individual to play an active role in reducing their impact on the world’s environment.
    To that end, Altis have been proactive in taking steps to become a more environmentally responsible corporate citizen. These practical and tangible steps have
    been captured in this Altis Environment Policy document and include:
    • Utilising technology to minimise travel for business.
    • Purchasing carbon offsets for business flights.
    • Purchasing “GreenPower” (renewable energy) equivalent to the amount of fossil fuel energy we consume in each office.
    • Implementing a 3R policy in each Altis office (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).

  • Increasing the use of Virtual training sessions to reduce travel both for our own consultants and for people attending our training courses.

    Increasing in all company sites the use of recyclable materials and recycling facilities to reuse our usage.

    Utilizing Cloud services to limit the use of paper doc and therefore reduce printing cost and paper usage.

    Buying Green power for all our offices and where possible minimising the use of AC within offices by utilising open air areas and flow through potentials.

    Becoming selective around promotional items, in both reason or need for the product and asking questions around environmental issues in manufacture of the promo item.

Anti-Corruption

  • Our Code of Conduct policy applies to all employees and provides the framework of principles for conducting business, dealing with other employees, Clients and
    suppliers. The Code of Conduct does not replace legislation and if any part of it is in conflict, then legislation takes precedence.
    This policy is based on the following:
    • Act and maintain a high standard of integrity and professionalism
    • Be responsible and scrupulous in the proper use of Company information,funds,equipment and facilities
    • Avoid apparent conflict of interests, promptly disclosing to an Altis senior manager, any interest which may constitute a conflict of interest
    • Promote the interests of Altis
    • Perform duties with skill, honesty, care and diligence
    • Abide by policies, procedures and lawful directions that relate to your employment with Altis and/or our Clients

  • This forms part of our Code of Conduct Policy.

    Any employee, who in good faith, raises a complaint or discloses an alleged breach of the Code, whilst following correct reporting procedures, will not be
    disadvantaged or prejudiced. All reports will be dealt with in a timely and confidential manner.

    Altis has undergone an extensive assessment process to comply with the ISO 27001 to confirm our commitment to protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information assets.

    The Altis Information Security Hub has training for all staff in privacy and incident response and informs staff of Information Security Resources.

  • Altis has ongoing Security Audits to confirm compliance with the ISO 27001. As part of this our Chief Information & Security Officer updates the company twice monthly of new security risks and any changes to our own company privacy settings - new threats and new actionable items.
