    I am pleased to confirm that “The Insurance Company GPI Holding” reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

    2. DESCRIPTION OF ACTIONS
    Human Rights

    “GPI Holding ensures safety and security of each employee. Every office is renovated and in good condition, every employee has own and well-equipped working space. Inventory and equipment is replaced upon request in case of wear and tear. Sanitary norms are followed strictly. Each office and branch is cleaned on a daily basis.

    • Protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats
    Employee rights are protected under the Internal Code of Conduct. There were no cases of harassment or abuse and gender equality is respected. Company’s HRM department oversees any claims or problems regarding the human rights in the workplace.

    Labour

    GPI Holding has a transparent system of logistics in the company – every contract has a two level confirmation process to ensure fairness of the process. This is important for the value chain control.
    Education and skills improvement is the cornerstone of company’s development. Company’s training center has one two full time trainer and 5 mentors, who constantly deliver trainings in various fields, would that me sales, managemen skills , time management, etc. Company is also funding third party courses for employees – personal development, English language, computer literacy, etc.
    In 2019 internal training hours were 1,342 for 652 employees, while third party course where financed for 150 employees.

    Environment

    In the area of environment GPI Holding acts a supporter of environmental programs Namely in 2019 the company continued its long lasting campaign – ECOIST and transformed in into the truly environmentally oriented program: loyalty program for insureds allows for the accumulation of points (ecoins) up tp 10% of the insurance premium paid, while every insured is also encouraged to accumulate through healthy life style and environmental friendly activity: walking, working out, drinking enough water per day, having a car inspected and riding a bicycle. Moreover, GPI Holding opens this opportunity to everyone, not just its insureds. At the moment up to 20,000 persons are the member of “Ecoist movement”. The company received a prize for this project in the annual CSR contest Meliora.
    Digitalization is one of the priorities for the company. Its insurance platform www.mygpi.ge and a mobile app (MyGPI) – allow for the whole insurance process to be done online – purchase, reimbursement, premium payment, referals, etc. Plastics insurance cards have been replaced by the AppCard integrated in the application.
    Paperless office: last year the company finalized its efforts to avoid hard copies in the sales process. The whole process have been automatized and sales persons in the office or outside conclude insurance agreement and sell policies electronically. Each sales person (550 inhouse sales managers) have tablet devices for sales operations.

    Anti-Corruption

    Diversity is one of the values for GPI Holding. The company’s sales employment program offers work despite the age and experience and trains candidates free of charge for 6 months. Every successful candidate is offered a job. At the moment , GPI Holding’s sales team consists of 83% women and 17% men with big diversity in age – average age is 45.
    Company wide women represent 78% of the workforce. In the top and middle management the proportion of gender is 50/50.
