    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that ESP Global Services reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • ESP Global Services remains committed to our support of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
    We have policies on Modern Slavery and Equal Opportunities, and request that all business partners comply with the same.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • ESP has robust grievance and whistle blowing policies in place for the reporting of any related concerns that our staff, partners or third parties can use.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Any grievances or complaints would be handled in line with our policies.
    In the last year we are delighted to announce that we received only one reported concern, which was addressed directly with the our supplier.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • ESP has a policy on Modern Day Slavery, which has its own reporting mechanism in addition to our grievance and whistle blowing policies.
    ESP endeavours to reward our staff fairly and within all local minimum wage thresholds to the best of our knowledge.
    All staff are engaged freely and under their own will.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • ESP uses the services of third party experts to deliver employment services where we do not have local HR support.
    Our eSpeak initiative gives a voice to all staff to provide their feedback on any subject, that feeds back directly to senior management.
    Health and safety is implemented to OHSAS18001, or the requirements of our customers if additionally stated.

  • Gender pay gap, and equal pay are reviewed at least once a year.
    Pay reviews are carried out annually, irrespective of location.

Environment

  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • ESP has an environmental policy in line with ISO14001.
    Periodic reviews of our environmental impact our made by our Green Team.
    We see environmental impact as a subject of continuous review at all levels, including the board.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Environmental impact is continuously reviewed, and any ideas received through eSpeak will be considered by senior management and fed back to the Green Team if appropriate.
    Reduction of energy use, and use of lower emission vehicles are primary focuses.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • The Green Team will investigate any environmental incidents, and feed corrective measures back to the board.
    There have been no reported environmental incidents in the last year.
    Our ISO 14001 accreditation implements routine internal auditing and an annual certifying body audit.

Anti-Corruption

  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • ESP has a robust anti bribery and corruption policy that informs our staff on how they should respond to any incident or witnessing of bribery or corruption.
    We have a mechanism for the reporting of gifts.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • ESP has a whistle blowing and grievance mechanism. All staff have access to senior management, the directors or the board to report any concerns about their direct line management.
    ESP is a participant in the TRAC program.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates anti-corruption performance.

  • Breaches of our ABC policy would follow a formal disciplinary mechanism, which would be reviewed by the directors.
    There were no reported breaches of our ABC policy last year.
