    I am pleased to confirm that UNION PLASTIC reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

    UNION PLASTIC company must respect the Classified installation regulation for the protection of the environment : declaration regime and Ordinance of 14/01/00 relative to general prescriptions relevant to Classified installation for the protection of the environment submitted on the rubric n° 2660 or2661.
    Rubrics concerned :
    2661 : Polymer (plastic material, rubber, elastomer,, resins and synthetic adhésives) (transformation off)
    2662 : Polymer (plastic material, rubber, elastomer,, resins and synthetic adhésives) (storage off)
    2663 : Pneumatic et products whose 50% at least of the total unit mass is composed by polymer (plastic material, rubber, elastomer,, resins and synthetic adhésives) (storage off)

    Reduction of energy consumption
    • Machine evolution (injection press) : change from hydraulic press to 100% electrical press which decrease 15 % energy consumption
    • Recovery of calories from injection press for heating the building and for the hot water production
    • Closed circuit process : Any water is discharge in the nature. Utilization of glycol water for the mold cooling.

    Waste
    • The plastic scraps resulting from the injection molding process are recycled by an external company
    • Others waste (carton /paper, oil, ink, solvent..) are also keep and evacuated by external companies for recycling.
