    This year marks the first reporting of our COP on Eclipse commitment to the UNGC ten principles. As we make progress in achieving the SDGs in the year 2030, we have embraced the compact's ten principles and confidently say we remain firm on our commitment to this important course.

    Eclipse exists to provide financial services to low income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living through well motivated employees and efficient technology-driven solutions to ensure good return on equity for all stakeholders.

    Eclipse in working to fulfill our mission, has embedded the UNGC's principles in our business practices, policies and operations. This has helped to become stronger as a company on a daily basis.

Human Rights

  • . Our core values are supportive and committed to respect Human Rights, where we uphold Human Rights as an inseparable part of our operations ensuring that we sustain business partnership with institutions which also adhere to this principle within and beyond our geographical enclave.
    . Being our duty to create prosperity mutually with our clients ( children inclusive), we strongly respect children's right and business principles in our routine transactions.

We have place our focus on the community in which we serve thereby channelling our resources towards providing affordable credit facility to enhance the execution of economic and social development programs that educate the public on Human Rights. We have been involved in the annual station head porters festivals restoring dignity and meaningful life to these young girls and boys
    . We are in constant touch with most of our beneficiaries to seek the impact we have created through field and phone interview.

Labour

  • . At Eclipse we uphold the freedom of association and effective recognition of collective bargaining, lending to our clients guards against the elimination of forced and child labour. In our recruitment process we guard against discrimination in respect of employment of women and disabled people.
    . Our employee handbook clearly states their rights and responsibilities and their compensation and benefits
    . Our agreement with our business partners and suppliers adhere to the Global Compact Labour principles.
    . Our Human Resources Department assess the labour-related risk within our industry in which we operate.

  • . At Eclipse we have put in place a grievance solving mechanism where staffs who have issues assess to handle their problems, we also have in place suggestion box to collect views and complains from staff and even our clients as well.
    . We at Eclipse through our Human Resources Department offer training to our employees on labour rights and policies, where we encourage freedom of association and collective opinion in order to foster their effectiveness in their work place.
    . Employees health is a matter of concern to us, all our staff are on health insurance schemes and even our clients we offer free health screening for them on a quarterly basis close to their business operating areas.
    .Eclipse Microfinance does not encourage discrimination of all kinds in our organization, we create and equal work environment for every body and even the physically challenged. It has been enshrined in our HR policy manual to guide the department during requirement process.
    .At Eclipse we have regular staff dubber once every quarter, where top level management and staff meet to discuss and deliberate about staff welfare and their advancement.
    . Our HR manual clearly states our policies and procedures in supporting the labour principles.
    . Eclipse is a member of the Labour union in Ghana where our staff have the freedom to join a union and to create a labour union within the organization.

  • . Eclipse Microfinance have about 45% of female workers and 55% male workers, about 80% of our staff strengthen is between 22 to 35 years and our work force cuts across most of the ethnic groups in Ghana and Sierra Leone.
    . Eclipse has never been faced with any incident of violation of the Global Compact Labour principles.

Environment

  • . At Eclipse our work does not interface so much with the environment, but we seek to create an impact in the environment where we operate.
    . At Eclipse we do not provide finances for small scale miners who are destroying our lands and water bodies as in our local parlance called Galamesay.

  • . At Eclipse Microfinance we are conscious of our environment and therefore staff has been given training and also provide funding for our clients who work in the area of environment protection.
    . We provide finances for our waste management clients to enhance the productivity of their work.

Eclipse is signed up to the Green Financing Option of funding, where we have design several green finance modules that has aided in supporting environmentally friendly projects and programs such as minimizing the impact businesses we support have on the environment and aid agribusiness development whilst improving upon the health and environmental safety procedures.

Anti-Corruption
