    To our stake holders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Macbrown Technologies reaffirm its overwhelming support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the area of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this Annual Communication on Progress, we reiterate our commitments and describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its Principles into our business and strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • We support, respect and support fundamental Human Rights as internationally proclaimed, gender equality and respect for persons with physical disabilities are also taken into serious consideration when it comes to employment and appointments into management and lower cadre positions.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Employees are encouraged to attend workshops and seminars on fundamental Human Right, our HR policies are also specially designed to suit gender equality and addresses forms of abuses on gender segregation.

  • Through our e-channel whistle blowing policies, employees are able to take advantage by reporting any form of abuse and maltreatment as regards abuses and disregards on laid-down policies concerning fundamental human right.

Labour

  • We have policies that clearly states employees fundamental right and responsibilities thereby giving them a primary sense of belonging in the organization.

  • We a member of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) and as such we are fully committed to rules and regulations of the Civil body, we have an NLC Representative in our organization that helps in ensuring checks and balances as regards to Labour Rights.

  • The Nigerian Labour Congress Representatives is responsible in mediating between the organization and the labour body on issues regarding labour rights, we also carry out online survey for employees feedback as regards to labour policies.

Environment

  • We participate on the monthly environmental cleanup and tree-planting in the State.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Our sources of energy is through the use of Solar, this has not only helped in reducing cost on fossil fuel but also contribute to a greener society, we also encourage the use of electronics communication and data processing as against the use of papers in the office.

  • We invite external environmental auditors to help measure our level of activities on the enviroment

Anti-Corruption

  • We carry monthly sensitization programs on anti-corruption in the company

  • Implementation

  • We participate on workshops and seminars on best practices in fighting against corruption .

  • Our anti-corruption performance is monitored via introduction of integrity test on our employees.
