    To our stakeholders:
    I am pleased to confirm that Today Top Star General Services support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Today Top Star actively supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We will not carry out business with any countries or system where flagrant human rights are abused.
    Today Top Star has a Dignity at Work Policy and is committed to ensuring that all our employees are treated fairly and with respect and are now reviewing all our internal guidance and controls to ensure that they reflect the new UN Guidelines.

  • Today Top Star consulting with stakeholders and affected parties in every months and offers mediation to staff at work as a first stage resolution to any problems experienced in the work place .
    We have a range of Human Resources policies which reflect TTS pro-active stance on human rights including our Dignity at Work Policy, Equal Opporutnities Policy and Flexible Working Policy.
    We give training of employees on Human Rights .

  • In the past year Today Top Star has not been subject to any investigations, legal cases or incidents involving Human Rights violations.

Labour

  • All Today Top Star employees are issued with a contract of employment which clearly states their terms and conditions including pay rates and overtime pay arrangements.
    Today Top Star supports the ILO Core Conventions and will not do business with any organisation who uses forced or child labour.

  • Today Top Star has a range of HR Policies which support best practice in terms of labour and employment including Equal Opportunities Policy, Appraisal Procedure and Flexible Working Policy.

  • Today Top Star has not been involved in any investigations, legal cases or other relevant events related to the contravention of the Global Compact Labour principles.

Environment

  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • As we has technological limitations in placed by Myanmar Municipal practices currently , such as waste disposal and processing methods , we are not bale to succeed as much as we want to in that though our daily business operations are very minimal or none impact to the environment around us .

  • TTS recycle everything we can and encourage our employees to reuse if possible.
    At our office we have motion sensitive lighting throughout our office and to reduce energy costs.

  • TTS participate with other business partners companies which do annual recycling competition and reward to the winning employees with an extra vacation day.

Anti-Corruption

  • Today Top Star supports the UN Convention Against Corruption and we will not operate in countries or with organizations who are corrupt.

  • The Financial Director is ultimately responsible for anti-corruption within Today Top Star.
