    Dear Stakeholders

I am pleased to confirm that Primavera Consultoria Empresarial Ltda reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations.

I might add that we demand the same of our suppliers and business partners.

We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

    Sincerely yours,

    Jennifer Lee Iverson
    Founder and Executive Director

Human Rights

  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Primavera Consultoria is a small streamlined business with no full time employees.

We do, however, contract a wide variety of suppliers and collaborate with a variety of partners.

With regards to human rights, we respect the right of each of our suppliers to express themselves freely.

Often our suppliers and partners which are micro or small business owners, and we do not discriminate based upon gender, race, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation or religion. On the contrary we promote diversity.

We encourage a harmonious working environment and do not accept physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment in our daily work, meetings or events.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Being a very small company, Primavera does not have formal written procedures in place to implement our Human Rights policies.

However, we live our policy and expect similar behavior from our suppliers and partners.

Should any supplier or partner not be in compliance with our policy, we will have a conversation and if necessary, the relationship will be terminated.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • We do not have full time employees, however, should we find that one of our suppliers or partners is breaching labour laws - child labor, slave labor, not contracting employees formally with benefits, we would want to learn about that situation.

If we find that our suppliers or partners go against our beliefs in the area of Labour rights we will converse with them and should it be necessary, we will terminate the relationship.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • We are still developing our environmental policy, however we do engage in a few activities that are positive for the environment.

We also ask our suppliers and partners to be environmentally friendly and inquire about their practices.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • In our office we recycle toner cartridges, paper, plastic and all other recyclable materials.
We conserve energy in the office by using natural sunlight as much as possible and using energy efficient lighting.
We do not leave machines running when not in use such as air conditioning, printers, etc.
We use collective transport or walk to meetings and events when possible, and we try to organize our meetings and events in locations that can be reached by public transport, when possible.
We have a goal to use the bike courier more and gradually phase out the use of motorcycle couriers where possible.
When we hold events we try to limit waste by ordering only what is truly necessary to the event in terms of paper and plastic materials as well as food. Leftover event items go to recycling or to nonprofit organizations that may benefit from the material.
We encourage our partners and suppliers to look for ways they, too, can make a contribution to the environment. These are usually very small businesses, but together, we can make a difference.
