    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that Intech AS reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Intech is committed to respecting human rights according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and instructs suppliers for adherence to the UN Global Compact principles on Human Rights. 
Goals for the upcoming year is to inspect major suppliers for there adherence to our human rights policy.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Protection of Human Rights will be part of the company CEOs responsibility. 
All employees are instructed to report breaches of the Human Rights policy directly to the CEO.

  • No incidents of Human Rights violations has been reported in the past year.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • Intech has in the online Personell Handbook clearly stated the employees rights, responsibilities and benefits. 

    The Personell Handbook also covers the freedom of association and collective bargaining and the elimination of forced labour, child labour and employment discrimination. 

    The business support systems generates reports on reported labour related cases and overtime usage per employee. 

    The nature of our current business does not require any other specific measures with the respect to labour related topics.

  • Intech recognizes the fundamental right of all associates to form trade unions and to join these trade unions of their own free will.

    Intech adheres to the principle of equal remuneration for work of equal value.
    We comply with national provisions regarding working hours and vacation.
    Any employee may complain to their respective line manager or the company’s leadership if they believe they have been subject to unfair treatment or have suffered disadvantages with respect to working conditions. Employees will not suffer any disadvantage because of lodging such complaints.

    Intech condemns child labor and respects rights of children.

  • Intech aims at diversity in gender, age and ethnicity.
    The goal for the coming periode is to increase the number of female employees to more than 25% of the entire population.
    Another goal is to reduce the average age, but without excluding elderly employees.

Environment

  • Intech is committed to run the operation with minimal environmental footprint. The organization is slim and we are not handling any hazardous material. 
We will be implementing measures to reduce the need for travelling by plans for implementing video conferencing and very flexible possibilities to work from home office.

  • Video / teleconferencing is available to all employees to reduce the need for traveling.
    Several improvements have been done to reduce energy consumption in the office building.
    Possibilities for charging of electrical vehicles have been established to reduce emission of green house gasses.

  • No of air travels will be monitored and followed up.
    Energy consumption has been reduced by 15% from 2014 to 2015.

Anti-Corruption

  • Intech has a zero-tolerance for corruption, bribery and extortion in an important principle in the personnel handbook.

  • Employees are instructed to report any attempts or observations of corruption, bribery and extortion to the CEO without any delay.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Potential incidents will be monitored to senior management at regular intervals. 
Serious incidents will be bought to senior management attention without any delay.
