Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Taha & Partners Group (TPG) has always valued the UNGC principles and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It has always been our groups mission to implement those principles and reference to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that every individual has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Taha & Partners Group's policy prevents potential abuses to any of its employees and respects each individuals rights as no one is subjected to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Since TPG's policy has always been to promote and yet adhere to the Global Compact Principles on Human rights specifically when dealing with our Business partners and suppliers to make sure that the implementation of the principles are in place.

TPG intends to continue its support in the area of Human Rights for the upcoming year as we incorporate our policies and UNGC principles as a guideline to follow when dealing with our clients and employees. TPG will maintain and carry on with its support to the service and care of the homeless, orphans and widows of Iraq through Dema for Motherhood & Childhood which was established in 2005, as an NGO owned and financed by TPG.

Another NGO is AL FAO Organization for Human Aiding is Taha & Partners Group’s most recent humanitarian project. The sole focus of this new NGO is to educate and train Iraqis that were severely impacted by the war. Due to serious destabilization that occurred in Iraq, many people did not have the opportunity to be educated or trained in any field that would enable them to advance their lives and futures. If just a small minority of these people were educated and trained they would have cathartic effect on the society as a whole.
AL FAO is a capacity building NGO with tutors, trainers and counselors that were carefully selected by TPG. We introduced the most effective psychological and tutorial methods designed to enable complete reintegration and rehabilitation of the physically, mentally and emotionally scarred.

The next step planned is to further prepare, teach and train them for healthy, successful lives. So far, the success of AL FAO has been phenomenal for such a short period of time, and the future will only get better!

TPG is also determined to work on inclusive business models and women economic empowerment to help establish a Women's Council (Woman Board Committee) for constructive dialogues within the Iraqi Community to help bring awareness to gender equality.
