  • The CEO of CTE wind civil engineering states the following:

    I confirm that CTE wind civil engineering reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we inform about our assessments, our actions and our commitments towards the application of the principles. We are conscious about the challenges and still improving each day. Everything is done within the company to ensure that our business strategy, our corporate culture as well as the daily work of our staff members stand in compliance with the principles of the UN Global Compact.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • CTE ensures a fair, objective and equitable approach to all workers. Our employment conditions and our businesses respect the internationally proclaimed Human Rights.

    We would never engage a business with a partner or company that would present Human Rights risks.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • Our international presence, with subsidiaries in different countries and on different continents, encourages the mutual respect of all employees and prevents from the expression of any kind of discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, marital status or sexual preference.

    To date, our company has never received a staff complaint relating to a violation of the Human Rights or a potential risk of their violation.

  • We regularly organize meetings between the employees of our different subsidiaries to encourage a mutual respect and a cultural exchange, so that they do not only work together in distance, but they also get to know each other.
    This contributes to put in place a good working atmosphere and make our work and business successful.

Labour

  • We ensure the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining in our company.
    Any form of forced or compulsory labour is strictly forbidden. This also applies for child labor: we support the elimination of any of its forms and would never engage a business with a company that would be suspected of child labour.

  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • We do attach importance to the respect of the labour rights of all employees and we ensure that all employees are treated and evaluated according to their skills, qualifications and abilities. All employees receive equal training opportunities according to their job.
    Besides we remain committed to cultivate a harmonious working experience within our corporate culture. Timely and accurate payment of wages and medical benefits are part it.
    Besides work performed in excess of normal hours can be recovered.

    Nothing illegal to employees can or will be tolerated. All of our employees are either citizens or hold a valid work permit.

  • No complaint has ever been raised by an employee against a form of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. Should this occur, it would be treated with a highest seriousness.

Environment

  • Sustainable development, energy saving, environment protection: nowadays these topics and issues are part of our everyday life.
    As a company specializing in renewable energy services, we are particularly aware of environmental issues and try to eliminate or reduce as much as possible any impact of our business and work that could be prejudicial on the environment.

  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • We encourage all employees to have a responsible attitude towards the protection of the environment.
    They are required to switch off lights and air conditioners when leaving the office.
    The whole equipment (computers, printer…) is of low energy consumption.
    Concerning waste, we separate all of our waste so that they can be recycled, and coffee pads are returned to a special collection site.
    Concerning paper, we do also recycle paper, try to reduce as much as possible the printing of documents and systematically practice double sided printing when the one sided printing is not required.

  • People are more aware of the waste they produce and try to reduce its quantity.
    If it appears that our environmental politic is not followed by everyone within the company, a general email is immediately sent to all staff members to inform them about the incident and remind them by this way of the necessity to be more observant of our environmental politics and of the different measures put in place within the company to preserve the environment.

Anti-Corruption

  • We do not tolerate any form of corruption or risk of corruption in any of our subsidiaries. Especially the executive and managers are required to demonstrate an exemplary attitude in this matter.

  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • All employees are required to behave in a correct and ethic way, not only towards their colleagues but also towards extern people like clients or visitors.
    Besides we require our partners and clients to provide an anticorruption statement before entering a business with them.

  • CTE wind civil engineering has never had to face up to any case of corruption within the company neither to any case of a possible risk of corruption. Should this occur, the issue would be treated immediately with the highest seriousness.
