    I am pleased to confirm that Skovhus Privathospital reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Skovhus Privathospital supports the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are in the process of making human rights and preventing potential abuses part of our strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of our company and request the same from our business partners and suppliers.

Labour

  • Skovhus Privathospital is generally participating in debates have to do with negotiating workers' pay, benefits, and safe working conditions.
    One of the most central of these "rights" is the right to unionize. Unions take advantage of collective bargaining and industrial action to increase their members' wages and otherwise change their working situation.

Environment

  • Skovhus Privathospital encourage the promotion of environmentally friendly products, only using products which are less harmful to the environment than equivalent brands. It is our hope that by buying labelled goods, we as consumers will be able to put pressure on manufacturers and retailers both to make and to stock "greener" products. This includes the effects they have on the environment at all stages.

  • Skovhus Privathospital is by law required to recycle and reduce waste materials.
    We are focused on consumption of resources (energy, fossil fuels, water, electricity, paper, packaging, etc.)
    Needles and medical waste is being disposed as recommended.

Anti-Corruption

  • There are many reasons why it is in Skovhus Privathospitals interest to ensure that neither we nor our buisness partners are engaged in any corrupt practices. We are requiring our business partners and suppliers to adhere to the Global Compact anti-corruption principles.
