    I am pleased to confirm that Eng Joo Precision Plastic Sdn Bhd reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • 1) Eng Joo provide employment contract to all employees in the company stating their working terms as well as benefits as prescribed by the Malaysia Employment Act

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • 1) Suggestion is in place all employees to provide feed back to the company.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • 1) Human Resource department of Malaysia has audited Eng Joo this year and were satisfied with Eng Joo.

Labour

  • 1) WIthin the employment contract for all Eng Joo employees state the working terms as well as wage and benefits.
    2) Have a safety committee within the company to ensure workers safety issues are looked after

  • 1) Suggestion Box is in place for employees to address their complaints or feedbacks.
    2) Conduct safety meeting to review workers safety issues are addressed.

  • 1) Eng Joo has diverse demographics in the management level where both males and females, different ethnics, are leading different departments.

Environment

  • Implementation

  • 1) Eng Joo purchase RoHS compliant resins from vendors requesting all vendors to provide COA certificates.
    2) Eng Joo provided training for staff to handle the disposal of waste according to the schedule of waste collection by Malaysian registered waste collecting firms

  • 1) ISO14001 auditors, Moody, has audited Eng Joo this year and the company has again passed the audit.

Anti-Corruption

  • 1) Corruption is a crime is Malaysia and Eng Joo is strictly observing Malaysia Laws
