    To our stakeholders:

    I am pleased to confirm that MAKA Engineering & Supplies reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • MAKA Engineering & Supplies fully respect and support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and will ensure all our employees are treated equally no matter of their races, age, gender etc.

    Formal training for Human Rights is provided to employees together with the Employee's Handbook with details of all resources for employees within the daily operations in the organization.

    MAKA will fully encourage our Supply Chain partners to join Global Compact if we are still not registered as a member previously.

  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • MAKA provide equal medical claim and benefits to all employees and to seek medical advice soonest when there is any problem occurs in the workplace.

    Any employees who encounter any Human Rights abuse shall report to the Human Resources Department and no information of the informer will be reveal during or after the whole process. Human Resources Department fully encourages any feedback and suggestions for any employees to improve the work environment for Human Rights.

    Annually, Human Rights policy will be reviewed by the senior management team

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • MAKA Engineering & Supplies fully respect and support the Global Compact Labour Principles and will not do business with any organization that uses Child labour, Forced Labour or Employment discrimination.

    Formal training for Labour is provided to employees together with the Employee's Handbook with details of terms and condition of employment, overtime pay and annual public holidays.

    For the upcoming year, MAKA target to received zero (0) complaints for any Forced Labour , Child labour or Employment discrimination.

  • MAKA ensure good communication between employee's representatives exist.
    Should there be any feedback for any discrimination or labour issue; employees are encouraged to seek consultation from the Human Resources Department. Feedback form and securely sealed box are available for employee to fill in as well.

    Employees are provided with safety material and required to follow the safety rules of the organization for their own safety.

    Employees are clearly aware of their job scope, working hour, wages etc. Every detail is stated in the Employment contract and Employee Handbook whereby all employees has their own copy.

    To treat employees fairly from their work process for the year, MAKA directors will come out with an annual meeting and provide employees with encouragement for their hardwork of the year.

    Suitable training will be arranged for each individual employee.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • MAKA has a policy to protect the environment by Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

    Targeting by next year to reduce our fuel usage by 40%, transport departing for delivery one trip per day and planning the delivery in procedure with the shortest driving duration.

    Increase the usage of reuse and recycle paper for documentation work by 60%

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • MAKA's employees attended trainings for Environmental issues and come out with a team to ensure the company's environmental performance throughout the whole organization.

    Reusing MAKA's carton box are fully encourage and has it stated "RETURNABLE" and the returned catron box will be use first
    Turning off the electricity main switch when not in use, lights will be turn off during lunch and break time
    Reduce the usage of water and ensuring the tap is closed tightly after using
    Reduce the usage of fuel for transport delivery

  • MAKA's Environmental group will organize a monthly meeting to take note on the whole organization usage of electricity, water, fuel etc. and come out with any solution if the usage exceed the targeted margin.

    Annually, Environment policy will be reviewed by the senior management team

Anti-Corruption

  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • All of MAKA's employees may not be involved in any corruption, bribery and extortion activities. Any suspicion activities shall be reported to the Human Resource Department Head.

    Employee Handbook which is available to all employees contains the Company policy and protocol to follow in the incidence of corruption and bribery violation. In case staff is confronted to situations where corruption and bribery are likely to take place, the Company’s protocol provides guidance on how to react and report this type of violation.

  • MAKA's entire employee attended the training for Anti-Corruption within the company and are all aware that any situation detected that involve MAKA's employees, partners or suppliers will lead to termination of contract.

    Human Resource Department will overlook with MAKA's employees and will encourage feedback if any of the employees found suspicious on Anti-Corruption within the organization
