  • I, Ashok Kumar Mundra, CEO of PRESS METAL INDUSTRIES, hereby confirm that we continue to, and will continue to support the GLOBAL COMPACT, and are committed to support and uphold all initiatives and principles of the GLOBAL COMPACT.

Human Rights

  • We at PRESS METAL INDUSTRIES:
    (1) Do not employ any person who is below the age of 18 years.
    (2) Respect the dignity of all female employees, and ensure their safety at the work place.
    (3) Show zero tolerance to any person violating the dignity of women employees.
    (4) Do not allow female employees to work beyond 18:00 hours under any circumstances

  • All the above policies are strictly implemented, and are monitored by the CEO personally.

  • (1)The CEO interacts with all women employees to ensure their safety and dignity.
    (2) Strict instructions have been given to all HR heads to ensure that no person below the age of 18 years in even called for interview.
    (3) A committee has been formed (as per the notification of the Government), to ensure that any cases of sexual harassment are reported immediately to this committee, which comprises of at least 3 women employees at senior positions in the organization.

Labour

  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • (1) wages and emoluments are strictly in compliance with current rules laid down by the Government.
    (2) Working hours are determined as per the norms laid down by the Government.

  • Description of concrete actions taken by the company to implement labour policies, address labour risks and respond to labour violations.

  • (1) All these policies are monitored directly by the CEO. Wages and salaries are paid every month personally by the CEO to every employee - any complaints in this regard are addressed on the spot at the time of distribution of wages/salaries.
    (2) All employees (whether senior staff or workers) are free to approach the CEO directly to address any issues the employees may have.

Environment

  • (1) It is ensured that the working environment in all areas is hygenic ans as per norms laid down by the Government
    (2) adequate toilet facilities have been provided for all employees, with separate areas for female employees.

  • all the above are monitored by the CEO personally.

  • Since the CEO interacts directly with all employees, and issues related to the above are brought to his notice and addresses on the spot.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • Since inception in 1981:
    (1) We do no do business with any customer who expects any from of bribers for giving us business.
    (2) We encourage our suppliers to report directly to the CEO if any of our employees demand any favours in any form.
