    To our stakeholders:
    I am pleased to confirm that Norwegian Seafood Export Council reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.
    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

    Aiming at zeero incidents in the area of Human Rights for the upcoming year.

Labour

  • NSEC offers employment contracts based on the Norwegian healt and safety at work act, which also apply to the ILO Core Conventions.
    Written company policies to uphold the freedom of association and collective bargaining through tariff agreement with NITO and written statements regarding elimination of forced labour, child labour and employment discrimination.

  • Revolving consultation with employees and other stakeholders, including follow up meetings with ovner (Ministry of fisheries and coastal affairs).

  • Written company policy on environmental issues, including prevention and management of environmental risks. This policy is followed up throug a external audit based on the norwegian standard "Miljøfyrtårn".
    NSEC has formulated a goal related to reduced CO2 emission and implemented video conferences in order to reduce air-milages
