UN Global Compact CEO Roundtable

This year's CEO Roundtable will focus on how corporations — working with capital markets institutions — can meaningfully contribute to the SDG financing agenda. Participating companies are expected to announce initiatives on SDG-aligned investment, learn about corporate SDG financing efforts from their peers, and plan a new working group to support the implementation of SDGs in corporate finance strategies and practices. CEOs as well as senior policymakers from government and the UN will participate in an interactive discussion about new business models and investment opportunities for the SDGs moderated by the UN Global Compact and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).

SDG Investment Forum 2019 - South Africa

The JSE has partnered with the UN Global Compact and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) to host the 2019 JSE ESG Investor Showcase. This year’s edition, the SDG Investment Forum South Africa, will connect capital providers with impactful investment opportunities to help mobilize finance in support of local and regional SDG implementation in South Africa. The Forum will feature presentations of SDG-aligned investments and strategies across several sectors and asset classes, including JSE-listed issuers, multinational companies, fixed income instruments and development finance.

Global SDG Investment Forum 2019 – Italy

SDG Investment Forums are designed to help those seeking to invest capital toward the SDGs to enhance understanding of investment opportunities. Companies will have an opportunity to discuss their sustainability strategies and any SDG-aligned financial products they have issued (e.g. green bonds). It will also involve conversations with investors, financial institutions and governments who are looking at SDG investments and how they perceive the enabling environment for sustainable finance.
