The UK Modern Slavery Act: Implications for Global Compact Participants

Overview

The newly adopted UK Modern Slavery Act requires companies that have an annual turnover of £36 million and above and that carry on business in the UK to produce an annual public “slavery and human trafficking statement.”

Hosted by the UN Global Compact and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, this webinar will explore the requirements of the UK Modern Slavery Act and its implications for UN Global Compact business participants who conduct business in the UK. It will also offer good practice approaches that companies can take to address human rights risks.
