Overcoming External Constraints to Scale Inclusive Business Models

Overview

Multiple constraints deter market entry and hinder growth in societies where poverty is prevalent. These can include limited market information, ineffective regulatory environments, inadequate infrastructure, missing local knowledge and skills, and restricted access to financial services among potential suppliers and customers. Incorporating and scaling inclusive business practices at the corporate level often involves tackling these barriers in order to grow and achieve greater impact and scale.

This webinar will review the external challenges that companies face in developing, sustaining and scaling successful inclusive business models. Additionally approaches that are used to overcome the barriers will be shared, particularly those that have lead to commercial success and positive development outcomes.

The webinar is organized by the UN Global Compact, UNDP's Business Call to Action and the Practitioner Hub for Inclusive Business.
