Please join us (virtually) at the United Nations 2020 High-Level Political Forum on 14 July from 7.30 to 8.30 a.m. New York time for the UN Global Compact’s SDG Ambition: Scaling Business Impact for the Decade of Action.

In the Decade of Action to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals, the need for increased business ambition is clear. The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed weaknesses in our societies and economies, while also providing an opportunity to build back better. The UN Global Compact is launching a new global impact initiative — SDG Ambition — to challenge and support companies in being more strategic and transformational in how they run their businesses to deliver on the 2030 Agenda. Through SDG Ambition, we will challenge companies to set bolder goals aligned with their purpose, governance, and strategy — and address barriers to speed and scale. We will also support companies collaborate better with their partners to spread change in their broader ecosystems.

This official side event will showcase the SDG Ambition initiative, presenting both its framework and initial uptake by business, and enable a high-level discussion with business leaders, Member States and the UN system on how to make SDG Ambition mainstream.

The event will take place virtually and we encourage interested participants to register here at their earliest convenience.
