At the occasion of COP25 in Madrid and towards the UN Ocean Conference 2020, this session will engage leading companies and experts to discuss how prominent ocean-based industries can be a powerful part of the climate solution.

This will require not only a paradigm shifts in terms of mainstreaming sustainability into business operations, but also substantial coordination between governments, civil society and industries and their land-based counterparts.

The discussion will be based on the reports The Ocean as a Solution for Climate Change: 5 Opportunities for Action,  and the Global Goals, Ocean Opportunities Report
