Child Labour Platform Global Meeting

Overview

The annual Global Meeting of the Child Labour Platform will be held on 11-12 October 2018 in Geneva, Switzerland. The Child Labour Platform [hyperlink to https://www.unglobalcompact.org/take-action/action/child-labour] (CLP) is the leading business initiative to eradicate child labour in supply chains. It provides concrete solutions to buyers, factory owners and suppliers by supporting member companies through a comprehensive process of due diligence across tiers. This year’s Global Meeting will bring together CLP member companies with experts from the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organization (ILO), Government, trade unions and other stakeholders for a two-day strategic discussion on the role of business in the elimination of child labour. The meeting will include a company policy review and a Government dialogue, and will foster knowledge-sharing and collaboration on several topics related to child labour.

The meeting is open to companies interested in learning more about state-of-the-art approaches to due diligence around child labour and the value-add of joining the CLP.
