Tanzania Responsible Business Forum on the SDGs

Overview

As part of its ongoing efforts to push for momentum on implementation across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Compact Network Tanzania is convening a national High-Level Responsible Business Forum on the SDGs.

The forum will bring together over 200 relevant sustainable development partnership experts from Governments, the United Nations and local authorities to examine successful partnership models, address challenges in different phases of partnership, as well delve into the role of business in delivering the 2030 Agenda.

Objectives:

  • Initiate a collaborative way where businesses can work with other stakeholders in the implementation of the SDGs in Tanzania.    
  • Raise awareness on the opportunity cost in advancing the SDGs.
  • Share experiences and develop strategies for business in implementing the SGDs
  • Strengthen local ownership of strategies by business community on implementing the SDGs.
