UN Briefing on the Famine Threat & How Business Can Contribute

Overview

With more than 20 million people facing famine or the risk of famine in North-East Nigeria, South Sudan, Yemen and Somalia, the world is facing the largest humanitarian crisis since 1945. Without collective and coordinated global effort, people will starve to death and many more will suffer from disease.

The UN Office of Coordination for Humanitarian Affairs and the United Nations Global Compact is co-hosting a webinar where experts will give an overview of the crisis and what is happening on the ground, and discuss ways in which the UN can work together with business to make a difference.
