    I am pleased to confirm that Samovarova & Partners reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • We have set up our internal written policy in regard of Human Rights and preventing potential abuses.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement Human Rights policies, address Human Rights risks and respond to Human Rights violations.

  • A suggestion box has been installed in the office in order our employees could report on any alleged abuses of human rights.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates performance.

  • Potential situation which could have lead to human rights abuses were closely monitored. Specific conclusions have been made and protocolled by responsible staff in order to prevent simillar issues to happen again.

Labour
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of labour rights for the company (i.e. labour rights-related risks and opportunities). Description of written policies, public commitments and company goals on labour rights.

  • Specific written policy has been implemented in our company granting additional opportunities to our employees to effectively defend their labor rights.

  • A number of training classes for employees was has been carried out in order to inform our staff of their rights. The personnel has been encouraged to report on any case of alleged abuses of labour rights.

  • External audit of labour enviroment has been carried out in 2013 by independed company, proving strong compliance of employer to all garanties granted in the implemented policy.

Environment
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of environmental protection for the company (i.e. environmental risks and opportunities). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on environmental protection.

  • An independed assessment of the environmental footprint and impact of the company has been carried out in 2013, giving as outcome a number of suggestions to improve situation in the field.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Consumption of main recources (heat energy, water, electricity) is now closely and regularly monitored. A person responsible for monthly reports on consumpted recourced has been appointed.

  • Measurement of outcomes
  • Description of how the company monitors and evaluates environmental performance.

  • All cases of overspending of energy resources were protocolled and investigated. Based on investigation's results relevant conclusions were made in order to prevent simillar cases to happen.

Anti-Corruption
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of anti-corruption for the company (i.e. anti-corruption risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on anti-corruption.

  • A written policy of zero-tolerance for corruption, bribery and extortion has been implemented in our company. Any alleged cases of policy breach are a subject of investigation by responsible personnel.

  • Description of concrete actions to implement anti-corruption policies, address anti-corruption risks and respond to incidents.

  • A suggestion box for reports on any alleged cases of policy breach is installed in our office.

  • Measurement of outcomes

  • Being closely monitored and controlled the situation in regard of corruption zero-tolerance policy gave none red flags so far.
