    Slovenia is a signatory to the Convention on Human Rights and has implemented the provisions of the Convention into domestic law. Therefore, the Slovenian legislation provides a high level of human rights, which are also reflected in employment law, which is mandatory for all companies in Slovenia. According to these principles of law also Iskraemeco d.d. works.
    We also have Health and Safety risk-assessment for every work place in the company, the document is basics for continues improvement (assessment, policy and goals).

    In Slovenia is very high level of respect for human rights and this is a matter of course. Therefore, there is no need for special tools for communication and awareness of employees about it.

    TOP LEVEL OPERATIONS OBJECTIVES FY2013
    OBJECTIVE 1: PEOPLE (TARGET: ZERO INCIDENTS & ABSENTEEISM OF 4.5%)

    Iskraemeco respects workers' rights. The company has organized a trade union and workers council. The company has a corporate collective agreement, which guarantees workers' rights at a higher level, than determined by the Slovenian labor law.
    Our goal is to create a positive relationship between company and trade unions, and the mutual communication is present in all-important matters relating to workers' rights.

    Slovenian labor law is protecting the rights of workers. The labor inspectorate that is a government agency examines violation of the rights of workers. Iskraemeco company has adopted a company collective agreement that even extends those rights. Company respects the labor law and collective agreement; the HR department is responsible for the lawful operation of rights of workers and is directly responsible to the chief executive director.
    In 2013, we recorded five accidents at work, one less than in the previous year.
    Absence from work due to accidents at work amounted to 120 days, which means 0.04 % of absence was duo to accidents at work.
    In 2013, sickness absence amounted to 5.53% of total absence from work, up 0.64% from the year before. (The average sick leave per employee totalled 138 hours or 17 working days.)

    Slovenian labor law prohibits employment of persons younger than 15 years. As the company Iskraemeco is high-tech company and employs only persons who have already completed their university education (in the Slovenian legislation, these are people older than 23 years). In the company's past, we have not seen any discrimination based on sex, ethnicity, age, etc., but the company has laid down rules of conduct in the case of mobbing
    The quality of our products is based on the total business management system specified in the (ISO 9001:2008 standard). It includes systems ranging from quality management, approach to the environment (ISO 14001 standard), health and safety at work (OHSAS 18001 standard) and security of assets and data.

    Our activities, products and services respect and meet the requirements of applicable environmental legislation, regulations and other adopted documents. The company is ISO 14000 certified. The environmental policy is published on internet. Permanent improvements in the field of environmental management are implemented by the integrated management system, by establishing the goal of minimizing negative impacts on the environment and by setting up the programs for their implementation.
    Company Iskraemeco in its daily work process tries to protect the environment.

    Slovenian legislation sets minimal standards for environmental protection. The inspectorate that is a government agency examines violation of the environmental protection. Iskraemeco’s mission is to enable utilities and industry to improve performance while lowering environmental impact. Providing metering products and systems that enable electricity management is Iskraemeco’s contribution to sustainability. ISO 14001 is proof of our sound environmental practices.
    We foster a more responsible attitude to environmental issues by regular training and raising the staff’s awareness. When planning new products, we take into consideration the entire product life cycle, from its development to appropriate management after expiry of its life span. The volume of waste is reduced by better utilization of raw materials. Only previously, processed residues that cannot be disposed of differently are deposited.

    According to ISO 14001 environmental performance is regularly checked and evaluated regarding environmental plans, legislations and other demands by top level management on the basis of the environmental report.

    For contracts concluded with business partners, we are considering anticorruption clause. If Iskraemeco makes a draft contract this clause is entered into the draft contract. It is true that if business partner prepares the draft contract and this clause is not entered into it, we do specifically require this article.
