  • On behalf of the company EDUARDO ALBÉNIZ S.A.U., I declare the company's compromise with the 10 principles of Global Compact with regard to human rights, labour standards, environment and anti-corruption.

    The company also takes the following commitments:
    - To align all the strategy with the 10 principles in order to integrate them progressively in the company's culture.
    - To make campaign in favour of the 10 principles in its sphere of influence.

    We wish to remember that in October 2008, when we joined Global Compact, we sent a letter to all our customers to let them know and inviting them to know the iniciative and join it.

    The respect of the 10 principles is seen by the company not only as a moral obligation but also a way to improve the social climate in the company and, consequently, improve processes and economic results.

Human Rights

  • EDUARDO ALBENIZ, S.A.U. declares its support to the Universal Declaration of Human Rigths and its strong commitment to put in place policies and actions to implement the principles 1 and 2 in order to integrate them progressively in the company's culture.

  • We have adapted our organisation so that 6 people can work permanently in teleworking mode. We have also adapted ourselves so that 7 other people can do so immediately in exceptional situations, which may arise from factors external to our company.

  • - Greater reconciliation of family life with the employee's professional life, which results in greater satisfaction, well-being, loyalty and performance in their job.
    - The activity of our organisation is not affected by external situations that require restrictions on presence in the company.

Labour

  • EDUARDO ALBENIZ, S.A.U. declares its support to the Universal Declaration of Human Rigths and its strong commitment to put in place policies and actions to implement the principles 3, 4, 5 and 6 in order to integrate them progressively in the company's culture. We declare specifically our commitment to respect the Labour Law and the workers' rights.

  • Collaboration agreement with the "Escuela Profesional de Artes Gráficas" of our city so that final year students can carry out the "End of Degree Curricular Practice" in our company. In this way, we make it easier for students to complete their practical training in the activity they have studied, and we give them fundamental support for their incorporation into the labour market.

  • - Opportunity for students to complete their training by completing the end-of-degree internship in our company.
    - Training and support in the first steps of the student in the labour market.
    - Our organisation has access to personnel with a high level of theoretical training in Graphic Arts, which is fundamental for our Pre-printing and Printing processes.
    - This type of internship in companies encourages young students to undertake studies in Graphic Arts, due to the good expectations of incorporation into the labour market.

Environment

  • Even if our activity (self-adhesive labels manufacturing) is not especially pollutant and wastes are not considered as dangerous for the environment, we declare our support to the principles 7, 8 and 9 and our strong commitment to put in place policies and actions in order to integrate them progressively in the company's culture.

  • Implementation
  • Description of concrete actions to implement environmental policies, address environmental risks and respond to environmental incidents.

  • Changeover from standard lamps and fluorescent lamps to LED in the factory. Initiated the changeover in 2021 and set the target to complete in 2 years (2021 and 2022) the transition of 100% of lighting to LED for all factory areas.

  • We expect to obtain a significant reduction in electricity consumption, and with it the environmental benefits derived from this lower consumption.

Anti-Corruption

  • EDUARDO ALBENIZ, S.A.U. declares its support to principle 10 and its strong commitment to put in place policies and actions to avoid all forms of corruption, in particular extortion and bribery, in order to integrate this principle progressively in the company's culture.

  • In our "Welcome Plan" procedure for personnel joining our organisation, we have included training and a commitment to accept and comply with our ALBÉNIZ Code of Conduct.
    Likewise, we have defined the procedure for all the personnel of our organisation to receive timely communication and training whenever there is a modification in the content of the Code of Conduct.
    Our Code of Conduct explicitly prohibits any form of corruption, including bribery, extortion, deception, fraud and manipulation.

  • - To ensure that all Albéniz personnel are trained in the ALBENIZ Code of Conduct from their first day in the company and that they are promptly informed whenever there is a change in the Code of Conduct.
    - That all Albéniz personnel confirm their acceptance and commitment to comply with the Code of Conduct, and therefore explicitly renounce each of the forms of corruption that our Code of Conduct prohibits."
