  • Dear stakeholders,

    We are pleased to confirm that Rich.KLINGER Dichtungstechnik reconfirms its support for the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption.
    In this annual progress report, we describe our actions to continuously improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, corporate culture and our daily operations. We are also committed to sharing this information with our stakeholders .
    Our first annual report details what has been achieved so far below results and measures taken.
    Rich.KLINGER Dichtungstechnik continues to support the Global Compact and will be further strengthened in the years to come , continuously work to promote the goals of the Pact and translate them into everyday life actively involved in business processes.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • In order to protect international human rights, we have arranged for all of our
    suppliers to accept our code of conduct and this is countersigned by the highest authority of the respective company.
    Within the framework of our code of conduct we determine human rights and social standards such as wages and social benefits, labor
    times, health and safety, but also our principles on child labour, discrimination
    tion and training opportunities.

  • We recently carried out a survey among our supplieres to monitor and evaluate their activities around human rights and encourged them to reconfirm our COC including human rights issues.

  • For monitoring reasons we analyse and visualize supplier surveys and their develoment with regards to human rights.

Labour

    More consultation of employies with regards to work safety and issues has been enabled last year.

  • Klinger Dichtungstechnik had been certified to ISO45001 in the year 2021.
    Furter action which had been carried out:
    substitusion/Elimination of CMR (hazardous) substances
    formalized consultation of emloyies with regards to occupational safety
    various employment agreements tougether with labour union representatives had been set into force
    further implementation of collective agreements

  • The company is evaluated and rated by ECOVADIS on yearly basis and maintaines its silver status.

Environment

  • KLINGER Dichtungstechnik takes part in EMAS initiative and therfore is EMAS certified
    specific goals for next year:
    reduction of scrap rate
    product development of a material based on sustainable and renewable raw materials
    reduction of energy consumbtion by increased heat recovery

  • Implementation

  • Our company uses electric energy from its own revitalized micro hydro power plant.
    Last year the enviroment emergency procedures had been im proved and trained.
    A reduction in sources of air borne dust had been achieved.
    Additional exhaust devices had been installed.
    Awareness raising measures and trainigs had been carried out.

    External validation and continious monitoring of emissions.
    Recycle material rate is beeing monitore.
    Training rate with regards to enviroment related courses is recorded and benchmarked.
    We reissued an enviromental statement.

Anti-Corruption

    KLINGER Dichtungstechnik participates in ESA (european sealing association) which covers anti-corruption measures and agreements.
