    I am pleased to confirm that Confidex Group reaffirms its support of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption.

    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to share this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals
  • Description of the relevance of human rights for the company (i.e. human rights risk-assessment). Description of policies, public commitments and company goals on Human Rights.

  • Confidex is committed to avoid violations of Human Rights of colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers. We shall respect the human rights of all stakeholders we are in contact with and are also committed to act in compliance with the UN guiding principles, not tolerating any form of slavery, including child labour, forced and compulsory labour and upholding freedom of association and collective bargaining, as well as respect for privacy and personal data protection.

    Our Code of Ethics support the principles set out in the following international standards and they are the spine of Confidex Sense of Tomorrow Sustainability Program and operations:
    • UN Declaration of Human Rights
    • UN Guiding Principles on Anti-corruption, Human Rights, Labour and Environment

    Confidex measures and is certified by ISO14001, 45001, 27001, 9001 (international Standards) and leverages Environmental, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement ratings with the support of EcoVadis which help us monitor our organization’s manufacturing processes, practices and principles for continuous improvement.

  • Implementation

  • Confidex has taken the following measures to prevent human rights violations within the organization:

    - Implemented a Sustainability Program to foster Corporate responsibility
    - Our Code of Ethics is guided by the UN Global Principles
    - We conducted a training session for all employees on our sustainability program and Code of ethics
    - Implemented reporting mechanism and procedure to submit concerns, complaints or misconduct.
    - Refined a Human Rights Policy
    - Our policies ensure that we protect workers from workplace harassment, including physical, verbal, sexual or psychological harassment, abuse or threats

  • Confidex will continue developing its Sustainability Program, diligencies and policies to fully integrate mechanisms that evaluate internal processes, partner relationships and suppliers relationship against defined principles and guidelines on Anti-corruption, Human Rights, Labour and Environment

Labour

  • Our company Code of Ethics states the right for freedom of association and collective bargaining. Our policies and Employee handbooks have been updated and made available for the organization reflecting employment policies, rights, responsibilities, risks, communication channels and handling complaints procedures.

    Confidex commits to not employ anyone who is below the minimum legal age for employment. Children shall not be employed as that is inconsistent with their personal development. Modern day slavery including forced, bonded or compulsory labor and human trafficking are strictly prohibited.

  • Implementation

  • At Confidex, we give high importance to the health and safety of our employees. A healthy and safe working environment, including psychosocial considerations, shall be provided for employees, in accordance with international standards and national laws. Our commitment is demonstrated by considering potential impacts on health and safety, analyzing, and planning necessary actions to avoid such impacts, and having leadership commitment for safety at all levels.

    Appropriate health and safety information and training shall be provided to employees, including:

    - Risks they are exposed to
    - Arrangements for safe evacuations of buildings
    - Correct handling and marking of chemicals and machinery

    Confidex also encourages employees to maintain a positive work life balance.

Environment

  • Confidex Sense of Tomorrow’s Sustainability Program can foster corporate responsibility aligning and driving our efforts with The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework towards more concrete objectives and plans to achieve our Sustainability Vision: to develop reliable and sustainable products, services, and ecosystems for digital transformation of industries, transportation, and infrastructures of our planet. We have a Sustainability Policy based reflecting our commitment.

  • To support our sustainability vision Confidex:
    • Uses RoHS and REACH materials only.
    • Assesses Suppliers for Conflict Minerals (RMI_CMRT_CRT) and TSCA
    • Advances alternatives to replace less sustainable materials with bioplastics or recycled plastics as part of initiatives like ECOtronics.
    • Has developed ecofriendly products such as PET-Free labels, non-PVC products and brass-free products.
    • Products do not fall within the list of Dual-use goods as referred to in EU Council Regulation (EC) No 428/2009, as amended by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 216
    • Communicates its Sustainability Policy to all employees, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Continues to enables Circular Economy as indicated in our Sustainability Policy.

Anti-Corruption

  • As stated in our Code of Ethics and Human Rights policy, Confidex has zero-tolerance towards any form of corruption and financial irregularity, including bribery, kickbacks, facilitation payments, fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering. No one representing Confidex may demand or accept from, or offer or give to, employees or other representatives of business partners (such as customers, suppliers, and channel partners) or any other third parties (e.g., authorities), any kind of bribe, kickback or any other unlawful or unethical benefit.

  • Internally we maintain an excellent check and balance system over transactions, records are maintained with proper supportive information and documentation and this is controlled by finance, administration and HR departments ultimately reaching to the CEO.

  • Confidex books and accounts are subjected to external audits with no incident of unclarity nature being reported. We ensure that internal procedures support the company’s anti-corruption commitment, our internal policies clearly reflect our zero tolerance to any form of corruption or unethical behavior. We are also polishing our third party Supplier Code to reflect the importance of anti-corruption measures and ethical behavior in much more detailed manner.
