    In this annual Communication on Progress, we describe our actions to continually improve the integration of the Global Compact and its principles into our business strategy, culture and daily operations. We also commit to sharing this information with our stakeholders using our primary channels of communication.

Human Rights
  • Assessment, policy and goals

  • Our approach to human rights is based on the “UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights”. We commit to respect human rights defined in the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” within our sphere of influence.

    As a part of an industry with more than 75% of workers worldwide being women, gender equality is one of our top priorities. Our management systems, hiring and employment, work health and safety, supply chain and social impact are audited by Intertek with regard to Global Compact Turkey and Women Empowerment Principles.

Labour

  • We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment. Any claims of improper conducts are taken seriously and handled immediately.

    The future of fashion relies on the people who make our clothes. We want to be a part of an industry that provides fair pay, safe working conditions, social protection and gender equality. As a garment manufacturer, on the most labor- intensive stage of the supply chain, we are focusing our efforts on living wage and labour conditions.

  • Fair Wear Foundation - Living wage project:
    Fair Wear Foundation defines a living wage as a wage paid for a standard working week that meets the basic needs of workers and their families and provides some discretionary income. Basic needs includes costs like housing (with basic facilities like electricity), nutrition, clothing, healthcare, education, drinking water, childcare, transport, and savings. We have started this project with our brand partner and working together towards payment of a living wage. Our aim is to provide our workers better standard of living and ensure our customers that they source from a facility where a fair wage is paid.

    We have open door policy to ensure transparency and encourage the employees to share their problems, suggestions, concerns.

  • We successfully pass the yearly audits of Fair Wear Foundation, which is an international verification initiative dedicated to enhancing workers’ lives all over the world.

    Use of GOTS certified organic cotton which bans child labor, discrimination, harassment, violence and forced labor, also assures safe and hygienic working conditions.

Environment
